WATERBURY - Dennis Santos age 51 of Waterbury was the victim of a tragic incident and passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2022.

Dennis was born on October 4, 1970 in Ponce Puerto Rico and raised in Penuelas Puerto Rico the son of Paul Santos and Aida M. Ramos. He was educated in Puerto Rico and immigrated to Waterbury 36 years ago. Upon his arrival, Dennis immediately was known as “Gemelo” and very quickly became an integral part of the community where he enjoyed being the life of the party. He was the proprietor of the Salsa Tropical Social Club in Waterbury where the unfortunate incident occurred. He has a true passion for his community and he lived to help others. Salsa Tropical was his heart and soul, a place for all to come together and enjoy their lives and heritage. Dennis loved hosting events at the social club. While his community was his passion his family was his one true love. Nothing was more important to Dennis than his family.

Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memory are his daughter; Deliany Santos of Buffalo NY, his son, Joseph Santos of Waterbury, and his brothers; Elvin Santos of Waterbury, Paul, and Nelson Santos of Puerto Rico, and his sister, Wanda Santos of Waterbury.

Funeral services for Mr. Santos will be held on Friday, August 19, 2022, at 10:30 a.m. at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 1987 East Main St Waterbury @ Southmayd Rd Waterbury. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the Santos family on Thursday evening from 5:00 till 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
