Loving father son and brother
WATERBURY, CT - It is with profound sadness that the family of Achille Millien Jr, age 50, of Waterbury, announce the unexpected passing of their cherished son, father, and brother on January 9th, 2025, at Waterbury Hospital.
Achille was born August 18th, 1974, in New York City, the son of Achille Millien Sr and Betty Toureaux. He grew up in New York City, where he attended Salesian High School in New Rochelle before attending Valhalla Community College, where he earned his associate's degree in Physical Therapy. More recently, Achille has been working as an IT Support Technician at Otis Elevator. Achille was a lifelong New York Yankees fan and enjoyed playing baseball. In his younger years, Achille enjoyed the competition of a good chess match with his friends and family. Traveling was a source of delight for Achille, and in quieter moments, he found joy in watching movies, especially action, sci-fi, or comedies, and listening to his favorite music, such as Tribe Called Quest, Mary J. Blige, Stevie Wonder, and Hall & Oats. Achille was a jack of all trades and had many skills and abilities he was always willing to help anyone in need whether it was with a vehicle repair or life lessons
Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memory besides his parents, Achille leaves his daughters Crystal and Sara Millien of New Britain, as well as his brothers Marcus and Jeffrey Millien of Waterbury, in addition to other extended family members and many friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Millien will be held on Tuesday, January 28th, 2025, at 9:30 am from Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 1987 East Main St Waterbury, to The Basilica of the Immaculate Conception Church, 74 West Main St Waterbury when a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Burial will be held privately and at the convenience of his family. Friends and relatives of Achille may visit with his family on Monday, January 28th, 2025, from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
