THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE ASSISTING AND CARING FOR THE FAMILY OF ADERITO DOS SANTOS.
WATERBURY - Aderito Dos Santos, age 82 of Waterbury, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by the love and comfort of his wife and family on Monday October 26, 2020 after a brief illness. He was the husband of Maria Luiza Dos Santos.
Aderito was born on June 15, 1938 in Escariz, Portugal. He was the son of the late Abilio and Aida (Carvalho) Dos Santos. He was educated in Portugal and worked construction for his father-in-law's company for 10 years before immigrating to the United States in 1967. He then worked for The Scovill Company, first in New Milford and then Century Brass in Waterbury. Aderito was an avid fan of the Portuguese soccer team Benefica, a lifelong member of the Portuguese Club of Waterbury and enjoyed the company of his many friends especially at Dunkin Donuts. He truly enjoyed the simpler things in life. What was most important to Aderito in his life was his wife and family with whom he shared a sacred and special bond. He will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love him.
Left to honor his love and legacy, besides his wife of 59 years, are his children; sons; Jose Dos Santos and his wife, Maureen of Waterbury, Antonio Dos Santos of Wolcott, Mario Dos Santos and his wife, Heidi of Virginia Beach VA and his daughter, Alzira Egan and her husband, John of Waterbury. He also leaves a brother, Lucilio Dos Santos and his wife, Rosa of Watertown and a sister, Maria Amelia Faria and her husband Lucilio of Portugal. Aderito was blessed with 9 grandchildren; Leeza, Cella, Jarod, Stefanie, James, Paulie, Kayla, Johnny, Andrea and 1 great granddaughter, Parker as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Dos Santos will be held on Saturday, October 31, 2020 when a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 3665 Baldwin St. Waterbury at 10:00 a.m. All those planning to attend are asked to meet directly at the church and be advised that all federal, state and local regulations regarding COVID-19 will be strictly enforced. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
