OAKVILLE - Adwah L. Bavone age 89 of Oakville, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2016 at Candlewood Valley Heath Care Center in New Milford after an extended illness. She was the widow of Philip Bavone.

Mrs. Bavone was born in Oakville, CT, the daughter of the late James and Mary (Pietrorazio) DeCarlo. She was educated in local schools and dedicated her life to her family. She enjoyed taking bus trips to the casino to play bingo. Adwah's greatest pleasures and memories were made while spending time with her family especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. "Nonni" loved their company and enjoyed cooking their favorite meals for them.

Among her survivors are her two daughters; Donna Lepage and husband, Robert of Bethlehem, and Phyllis West of Watertown, her three grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She also leaves a sister, Ghita Aureli of Oakville.

Funeral Services for Mrs. Bavone will be held on Saturday, October 8,, 2016 when a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary Magdalen Church, Buckingham St., Oakville at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Mt Olivet Cemetery, Watertown. Relatives and friends may visit with Adwah's family on Saturday morning from 8:30 am till 9:30am at The O'Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main St Oakville. In lieu of flowers, to honor Adwah's memory, donations may be made to St Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or to Archdiocese of Hartford, ORTV, 15 Peach Orchard Road, Prospect, CT 06712-1052.
