AT THE CASEY-O'DONNELL FAMILY FUNERAL HOME

Waterbury, CT. Mr. Aguedo Vega of Whitewood Rd, Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly at his home after a brief illness on January 27th 2012. He was the loving husband of Luminada (Silva) Vega.

Mr. Vega was born February 5th 1942 in Patillas, Puerto Rico, the son of the late Gregorio and Angela (Ortiz) Vega. He moved to New York and then later settled in Connecticut in 1973. He worked as a machinist for many years at Demsey Manufacturing in Watertown before his retirement. He was a loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather who enjoyed fishing, and music. Aguedo was an avid New York Yankees fan and enjoyed watching boxing. He also liked to garden and always kept himself busy by being the family handyman that had the ability to make repairs and improvements on just about anything.

Besides his loving wife, Luminada of 30 years, Aguedo is survived by his daughter, Luminada Planas and her husband Josie with whom he made his home. He is also leaves many brothers, sisters, and his granddaughter, Emily Planas as well as many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Vega will be held on Wednesday, February 1st, 2012 at 9:00am from the Casey-O'Donnell Family Funeral Home 1581 East Main St. Waterbury to Sacred Heart - Sagrado Corazon Church 13 Wolcott, St Waterbury for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am. Burial will follow in New Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 5:00 til 7:00 pm.
