Loving Father and Brother
WATERBURY, CT – It is with heavy hearts that the family of Alan R. Ladd Jr., age 52, of Wolcott, announce his unexpected passing on September 24, 2024, at Saint Mary’s Hospital, surrounded by his family.
Alan was born March 13th, 1972, in Waterbury, CT, the son of the late Alan Sr. and Patricia (Genovese) Ladd. He was a graduate of Wolcott High School and attended Paier College of Art in Bridgeport, where he studied graphic art. Alan was an avid Boston Red Sox baseball fan and cherished spending time with his family and children. Throughout his life, he took on various roles, working as a car salesman, electrical wholesale salesman, and recently working for First Student Transportation. Alan found great joy in cooking, and his delicious meals brought laughter and warmth to many family gatherings. He had a great passion for music which brought him to many local concerts and karaoke nights shared with friends and family. His kind and compassionate spirit touched the lives of all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. As we bid farewell to Alan, we celebrate the memories we shared and the love and laughter he conveyed with all.
Left to honor his legacy and memory are his children; Alan Ladd III, Noah Ladd, and Lia Ladd all of Wolcott, his former wife Caryn Ladd of Wolcott, his sister, Kari Prescott and her husband, Jason of Wolcott, and their children Tyler and Dylan Prescott.
