THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE CARING FOR AND ASSISTING THE FAMILY OF ALAN WELSH SR.
WATERBURY - Alan Welsh Sr. age 67, passed away unexpectedly at the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain after a brief illness. He was the husband of Jacklyn (Shaw) Welsh.
Alan was born July 5th 1954 in Putnam, CT, the son of the late William and Agnes (Mathieu) Welsh. He was raised in Waterbury, where he attended local schools and proudly served his country with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Alan was a member of the Local 210 Carpenters Union, where he worked for several firms throughout the State of CT. Alan was a avid sports enthusiast and enjoyed watching baseball, football and NASCAR racing. He was a long time member of the American Legion Post 195 in Oakville, where he enjoyed the company of many friends. He will be sadly missed by all those who were blessed to know and love him.
Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memory, besides his loving wife, Jacklyn, are his son, Alan Welsh Jr. of Waterbury and his sister, Cathy Welsh of Oakville. in addition to many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Timothy Welsh.
Funeral Services for Mr. Welsh will be held on Friday, February 18th 2022 at 9:30 a.m. from O'Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main Street Oakville, CT 06779. to Saint Mary Magdalen Church Buckingham St Oakville when a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be held privately and at the convenience of his family. Relatives and friends may visit with Alan's family on Friday morning from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home. We remain very concerned about the pandemic so masks must be always worn, while inside whether you are vaccinated or not.
