WATERBURY, CT - Mrs. Alice H. Dillon, age 87 of Waterbury, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love and comfort of her family on Friday, May 1, 2015 at the Vitas Innovative Care Unit of St. Mary's Hospital. She was the widow of Frederick Dillon who passed away January 5, 2015.
Mrs. Dillon was born on October 13, 1927 in Yonkers, NY, the daughter of the late Mitro and Marion (Brazee) Krusko. Alice was raised in the Waterbury area and spent many years working as an accountant at Taft School and enjoyed doing crafts and was an avid animal lover. She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great granddaughter. She was a long time parishioner of All Saints Episcopal Church in Oakville and enjoyed her family time at "the camp" on Panther Pond in Raymond, Maine.
Among her survivors are her daughter, Linda Shea of Watertown, her grandson Christopher Shea and his wife Anita, and her adoring great granddaughter, Sophia. She also leaves her brothers, Irving "Spike" Krusko and his wife Jean and Steve Krusko.as well as grand-dogs. She was predeceased by her son, Frederick "Deane" Dillon and her brother, Joseph Krusko.
A Memorial Service for both Frederick and Alice will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at 11:00 am. at All Saints Episcopal Church 262 Main St Oakville. A Memorial Gathering will be held in the church hall from 10:00 am until the time of the service. EASTSIDE MEMORIAL "A Casey Family Funeral Home and Tribute Center," (1987 East Main St., Waterbury) has been entrusted to assist the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Mr. & Mrs. Dillon's memory may be made to the Book of Remembrance at All Saint Episcopal Church 262 Main St Oakville, CT.
