WATERBURY - Allan Philibert, age, 75 of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday December 6th 2021. He was the loving husband of April (Burchell) Philibert.
Allan was born February 1st 1946 in Waterbury, the son of the late Ovide V. and Simone (Dionne) Philibert. He was a graduate of Crosby High School and spent 41 years working for CL&P before retiring as a lineman supervisor. Allan proudly served his country with the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War and was a former commander for the Waterbury VFW post 201. Allan was a devoted family man who enjoyed spending time with his family and his loving dog London, riding his motorcycle and golfing . His favorite pastime was spending time with his fellow veteran friends at the VFW. He will be sadly missed by all those who were blessed to have known and love him.
Left to cherish his memory, and honor his legacy besides his wife April of 32 years are his children Dannielle and Renee Philibert both of Canada, his sons Ben Hyman of Naugatuck and Daniel Hyman of Waterbury. In addition he also leaves his brother John Philibert Sr. of Waterbury, his 3 grandsons Kevin, Bryan, and Jacob, his great-grand daughter Lily as well as 3 nieces a nephew, several cousins and many friends.
Funeral Services for Mr. Philibert will be held on Friday, December 10th, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1987 East Main St Waterbury, CT 06705. Burial with full military honors will follow in Old Calvary Cemetery Waterbury. Relatives and friends may visit with the Philibert family on Friday afternoon from 12:00 noon until the time of the service at 1:00. We continue to remain concerned about the ongoing pandemic so masks will be required during all indoor services whether you are vaccinated or not.
