LITCHFIELD - Allegra Katherine (Evans) Yeno, age 97 of Litchfield, passed away peacefully at Litchfield Woods Healthcare on Sunday, June 30, 2019 with her family by her side, after an extended illness.
Allegra was born on May 26, 1922 in Sharon, CT, the daughter of the late Francis L. and Susan (Bathrick) Evans. A resident of Wolcott, CT for over 70 years, Kay lived in the house that she and her husband built by themselves. She worked for many years as a payroll clerk at Emhart Corporation in New Britain, before being employed by the UBI Federal Credit Union. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
Allegra was pre-deceased by her husband of 67 years, John Kenneth Yeno. She is survived by her son Joe Anthony and his partner Deborah Helck of Litchfield, her grandson Paul John of Wolcott, and her former daughter-in-law and her husband Anne and Richard Carlquist of Vernon.
Funeral services for Mrs. Yeno will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd.
