Mr. Allen “Al” Bruce Graziano

November 19, 1957 — January 31, 2025

Illinois: It is with broken hearts that the family of Al Graziano announces the passing of their beloved husband, dad, brother, and Papa.

Son of the late Anthony and Marie Graziano, Al was born on November 19, 1957 in Waterbury Connecticut. He grew up in Oakville and graduated from Watertown High School. He spent most of his life in Connecticut until 2010, when he moved to Illinois for the love of his life. This is where he called home until his death on January 31, 2025.

His family was his greatest joy, and he showed his love in a million thoughtful ways. Including: cheering on the sidelines of his grandkids’ sports games, picking up his daughters from the airport prepared with a cooler of drinks in 100 degree weather, and giving a small gift he saw at the store that made him think of you. He adored bowling and it was something he and Connie loved to do together. Bowling was how the family loved to celebrate him for birthdays or Father’s Day, and he always had the highest score. Yet, he would always be more interested in teaching the grandkids how to keep their arm straight than he did winning.

Al found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. A jar of spicy olives, feeding the backyard critters, and an awesome slice of pizza just to name a few. He was famously known as the dog whisperer, and we’re confident it had absolutely nothing to do with the countless treats he “secretly” gave them.

He was the family songbird. Whether it was a tune from the Texas Tenors or a tv show theme song, Al was always humming to something. He was Connie’s personal chef and the whole family rejoiced when he made his famous Eggplant Parmesan.

After years of hard work, Al spent the last two years enjoying his well-earned retirement. He accomplished his dream of buying a Harley and before his passing, took up a passion for Pickleball.

He leaves behind a legacy of love to his family; Beloved husband to Connie, devoted father to Allen (Marlana) Graziano, Samantha (Jeremy) Gomez, Ashly (Steve) Sevilla, Kelly White, Ginna Gliori, and Esther White. Lifelong best friend to Steve Ezzo. He was a cherished Papa to James, Mia, Riley, Mya, Dominic, Cilas, Chase, Deckert, and Celeste. His absence is mourned among his siblings Sandy, Marie, Terri, Rose, Mark, Nic, and Dave along with their families. Al is preceded in death by his father Anthony Graziano, mother Marie Graziano, sister Cheryl Graziano, brother Anthony Graziano, and granddaughter Hope Parello.

A celebration of Al’s life will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Casey-O’Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main Street, Oakville, CT 06779.
