Ana Martinez

WATERBURY – It is with profound sadness that the family of Ana Martinez age 89 of Waterbury share the news of her peaceful passing on February 26, 2025 at the Vitas Inpatient Unit of St Marys Hospital surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. She was the wife of Jose Martinez. 

Ana was born on February 7, 1936 in Ponce Puerto Rico the daughter of the late Jose Mantalvo and Carmen Torres. Ana was a homemaker whose family came above all else. She enjoyed raising her large family, cooking and caring for them. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed by all those who were blessed to love and know her. 

Left to cherish her memory besides her devoted husband are her children; Luis, Roberto, Ismael, Martinez, Gloria Conde, Maria, Maribella and Orlando DeJesus, Fernando Alvarez, Jose Rivera, Luis and Martin Conde as well as many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

 Funeral services for Mrs. Martinez will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 1987 East Main Street, Waterbury, CT 06705. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family in Puerto Rico. Relatives and friends may pay respects and visit with the Martinez family on Friday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. and again on Saturday from 3:00 p.m. until the service commences at 4:00 p.m. Loving kindness is always welcome, and it only takes a moment to offer a message of condolence and share a memory or words of comfort with the family and friends of someone who was important to you.
