WATERBURY - Angel F. Hernandez, 68, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on¬ January 17, 2016 surrounded by his loving family at his home.
Angel was born in Naguabo, Puerto Rico on 7/3/47, son of Angel and Maria (Figueroa) Hernandez. He adored his wife Lois of 38 years and they remained inseparable and in their home together until his death. Angel was a kind, gentle person who always took the time to help family and friends. He was a loving, hardworking devoted father who retired from Petit Tools, Thomaston, CT in order to spend quality time with his family. He loved fishing, gardening and playing the guitar with his grandchildren. His most treasured moments were time spent with his family barbequing at home and playing a game of horseshoes with his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his wife Lois, Angel will be dearly missed by his children, Paul A. Hernandez, Lyn M. Hernandez, Anthony F. Hernandez and his wife Molly, all of Waterbury, and all of his grandchildren, Aaron Hernandez and Zachary Pronovost, Anthony Jr., Tyler, Savannah, Talen, Quentin, and Gavin Hernandez, Amber and Jade Hernandez of Milford PA, and Alyssa Smith of Waterbury.
Calling hours for Mr. Hernandez will be held at Casey's Eastside Memorial 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd, Waterbury on Thursday, January 21, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. A Funeral Service will held at the funeral home on Friday, January 22, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, 203 Spring Lake Road, Waterbury, CT 06706.
