HARTFORD - Angel M. Rivera, age 56 of Hartford, passed away peacefully at Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 after an extended illness.
Angel was born February 2, 1961 in Puerto Rico, the son of the late Angel C. Rivera and Esperanza (Oviedo) Rivera. He spent many years working as a drug and rehabilitation counselor for Latino community services in Hartford and enjoyed dancing.
Among his survivors are his children, Giessle Marrero, Angel M. Rivera and Adrian Rivera in addition to his five sister's, one brother and eight grandchildren and other extended family members and friends
Relatives and friends may visit with Angel's family on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 from 10:00 -12:00pm at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home, 1987 East Main St. @ Southmayd Rd. Waterbury.
