PROSPECT - Mrs. Angela "Marie" (Guerrera) Gorman age 86 of Prospect, passed away unexpectedly on Friday morning, May 3, 2019 at St. Mary's Hospital after an extended illness.She was the wife of the late Michael "Joe" Gorman.
Mrs. Gorman was born November 24, 1932 in Waterbury CT, the daughter of the late Antonio and Rosina (Morelli) Guerrera. She was educated in local schools and worked as a Nursing Assistant at Hope Hall Convalescent Hospital for over 30 years. Angela Marie was a devoted, wife, mother, sister and aunt who was always happiest surrounded by her family and friends. She loved gardening and was an avid reader. She was a parishioner of St Mary Magdalen Church in Oakville for many years. Angela Marie will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
Angela Marie is survived by her son, Michael J. Gorman Jr and his wife, Elizabeth "Beth" of Prospect with whom Angela Marie made her home. They cared for Angela Marie with great love and patience in her later years. She also leaves her devoted sister, Mrs. Mary Ann Russo and her husband, Ken of Middlebury and her sister-in-law, Ruth Gorman of Thomaston as well as several nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, cousins and special friends. She was predeceased by her two sons, Anthony and Craig and her brother, John Guerrera.
Funeral services for Mrs. Gorman will be held on Friday, May 10, 2019 at 11:00 a,m, at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd. Waterbury CT. Interment will follow in Calvary Mausoleum. Relatives and friends may visit with Ann Marie's family on Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. till the service at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
