KISSIMMEE FL - Angelo Costantino, 86 of Kissimmee, Florida, died peacefully at home with his loving wife beside him on Tuesday, August 6, 2013. He was the husband of Giovanna (Carbone) Costantino.
Mr. Costantino was born January 9, 1927 in Sturno, Italy, son of the late Domenico and Felicia (Grella) Costantino. Before moving to Waterbury in 1953, he served as a Carabiniere (National Military Police) in Genoa, Italy. Locally, he worked as a tool maker at Somma Tool Company in Waterbury for 35 years, from which he retired in 1992, before moving to Florida. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved watching all types of sports, especially a good baseball game. He always seemed happiest while sitting down with his family and friends enjoying a good meal and a glass of wine and especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Angelo is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Giovanna, his son, Domenic Costantino and his wife, Jacqueline of Southbury, CT, his three daughters, Angela D'Alfonso and her husband, Alfred, Felicia Smith and her husband Martin and Diane Aubert, all of Kissimmee, FL; a brother, Antonio, and a sister, Incoronata, both of Long Island, NY. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Christopher, Andrea, Alexis, Blake and Anthony, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Osvaldo, and his sister, Carolina.
Funeral services for Mr. Costantino will be held on Monday August 12th, 2013 at 10:00 am from Eastside Memorial, A CASEY FAMILY FUNERAL HOME AND TRIBUTE CENTER, 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd. Waterbury to Our Lady of Lourdes Church, South Main St Waterbury to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am. Rites of committal will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with Angelo's family at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 5:00 to 7:00pm.
