WATERBURY - Mr. Anibal "Chudy" Sanchez Jr. age 53 of Waterbury, passed away on June 30, 2021 at St. Mary's Hospital. He was the widow of Carmen Elaine Ramos who passed in 2018.
Chudy was born on September 12, 1967 in Chicago IL the son of Anibal Sr and Blanca Sanchez of Waterbury. He was educated in local schools and graduated from Kennedy High School. Chudy began his carrier as a driver in the transportation industry but most recently was well known for his ice cream truck around the city where he loved to interact with kids and the community. Chudy was an outgoing, fun-loving guy who could always be counted on to be the life of the party with his great sense of humor and smile. Although he was taken from us too soon, Chudy was able to see the joy and opportunity that life gave him even during the most difficult of times. He enjoyed each and every day to the fullest and he made the world a better place for all of us. What was most important to him in his life was his family, his parents, son and especially grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love him.
Left to cherish his memory and honor his legacy, besides his parents are his son, Adrian Sanchez Sr as well as his four grandchildren; Trinitey, Adrian Jr. Royce and Nyla Sanchez. He also leaves a brother, Erik Sanchez. Chudy would be very upset if we didn't mention his two most valuable companions in life his dogs; Bruno and Choco.
Funeral services for Mr. Sanchez will be held on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. when a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception 74 West Main St Waterbury. Those planning to attend are asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with Chudy's family on Tuesday evening from 5:00 till 7:00 pm at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd Waterbury. Until the greater Waterbury area reaches a 70% threshold of vaccinated population, those visiting the funeral home are requested to remain masked while inside or attending services.
