TORRINGTON - Anita Pekock, age 85, formerly of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 26, 2015 at Torrington Health Care and Rehab Center after an extended illness. She was the former wife of late Robert Pekock.
Anita was born September 28, 1930 in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of the late Albert and Blanche (Gregory) Grenier. She was raised in the Waterbury area and attended local schools and she spent many years working at Scovill Manufacturing until her retirement. She enjoyed spending time at the beach, bowling at Lakewood Lanes and Perillos and also enjoyed listening to music, and cooking. She was a parishioner of St. Francis Xavier Church.
Among her survivors are her sons, Paul McEwen of Harwinton, Robert Pekock of FL. and Michael Pekock of Waterbury, her daughters, Charlene and Marie Pekock of Torrington, and Roberta Pekock of KY. She is also survived by her brother, Richard Grenier of Prospect, and her sister, Jeanine Mallane of Naugatuck in addition to her nine grandchildren. She is predeceased by her daughter, Debby Iskander.
Funeral services for Mrs. Pekock will be held on Wednesday, December 30th, 2015 at 9:30a.m. at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd. Waterbury. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Watertown.
