WATERBURY- Anita Jane Portunato, age 78, of Waterbury passed away peacefully surrounded by the love and comfort of her family at the Vitas Innovative Care unit at Saint Mary's Hospital on October 20th 2019. She was the wife of Antonio Portunato.
Anita was born November 26, 1940 in Danbury, Ct the daughter of the late Howard and Ethel (Miller) Edgett. Anita was a devoted and loving homemaker who was always happiest while being surrounded by her family. She will be missed by all who were blessed to have known and loved her.
Left to remember, cherish, and honor Anita's love and legacy are her husband Antonio Portunato, her children, grandchildren, many extended family members and friends. She is predeceased by her daughter Gemma Portunato.
A graveside service for Mrs. Portunato will be held on Friday October 25th 2019 at 11:00am at New Calvary Cemetery Garden of Angels.
