AT THE CASEY-O'DONNELL FAMILY FUNERAL HOME
Waterbury - Anna J. Malave, age 93, of Wolcott St Waterbury, died unexpectedly Tuesday September 13th at Saint Mary's Hospital after a brief illness. She was the widow of Tomas Morales Burgos. Mrs. Malave was born April 22nd, 1919 in Puerto Rico the daughter of the late Eladio and Matilde (Rodriguez) Malave.
While living in Puerto Rico she worked as a registered nurse and continued in the health care profession in the United States as a home health care aide when she moved to the area in 1980. Anna was a very spiritual individual who enjoyed spending time with her family. She was always helping to raise her beloved grandchildren whether it was cooking family meals together, or nurturing them while teaching them the importance of God and religion. She was a former member of Saint Cecilia's Church.
Among her survivors are her son; Benjamin "Benny" Array of Waterbury, her daughter Luz Miligras Morales of Waterbury, her seven grandchildren Miguel Morales, Loumar Delvalle, and Yaritza Delvalle, Brain Array, Jovana Array, Dened Array and Emil Array as well as many great grandchildren. She is pre-deceased by her son, Freddy Array.
Funeral services for Mrs. Malave will be held on Friday September 16th leaving the Casey-O'Donnell Family Funeral Home 1581 East Main St at 2:00 p.m. for a 2:30p.m. graveside service in Calvary Cemetery.
