WATERBURY - Anna May (Ketter) Karalius-Frappier, age 82 of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at Waterbury Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Marcel Frappier.
Anna was born July 8, 1934 in Iola Kansas, the daughter of the late Aloysius and Rose (Zeller) Ketter. She was a longtime employee of the City of Waterbury having worked at the City Welfare Offices as well as the Library. She enjoyed reading, cooking, sewing, and spending time with and caring for her family. Most of all, Anna was well known for exchanging barbed insults with her children. She was a parishioner of SS Peter & Paul Church and she will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her 4 children; sons, Eric Karalius of Wolcott and Jacques Frappier and his wife Cara of Waterbury, daughters: Kathryn Karalius of Thomaston and Lisa Dingle and her husband, Kevin of Moodus CT. Anna also leaves a brother, Robert Ketter of Colorado, her stepdaughters Donna and Tina and their families, her grandchildren: Jacqueline, Cheryl Ann, Shelby and Ian and her great-grandson, Dante. She was predeceased by her son, William Paul Karalius, daughters Kristen Faye Karalius, Juliana Rose Lacy and her grandsons; Eric Karalius and Connor Lacy and her stepson, Michael Frappier.
Funeral services for Mrs. Frappier will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. from Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home, 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd in Waterbury to SS Peter & Paul Church, 67 Southmayd Rd in Waterbury to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. Family and friends may visit with Anna May's family on Tuesday evening from 5:00 till 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
