WATERBURY - Mrs. Anne C. (Shea) Fennessy, age 88 of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at the Vitas Innovative Care Unit of St. Mary's Hospital surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. She was the widow of Augustus Fennessy
Anne, who was also known as "Agatha", was born July 21, 1927 in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Michael and Margaret (Ryan) Shea. She graduated from Sacred Heart Grammar and High School and was employed for many years as a Quality Control Inspector at Timex Inc. Anne enjoyed traveling, especially to the Irish Village on the Cape as well as Cape May, New Jersey. Most of all, Anne enjoyed being around and spending time with her family.
Among her survivors are her children, sons; Robert "Gus" and his wife, Anna of Waterbury, Dennis and his wife, Judy of Middletown, Stephen and his wife, Patricia of Plymouth and Daniel Fennessy of Woodbury, her daughters, Joan D'Addario and her husband, Albert of Southington and Margaret Dumas and her husband, Alexander of Bolton as well as 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Fennessy will be held on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. from Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home, 1987 East Main St Waterbury to Saints Peter and Paul Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. Relatives and friends may visit with Anne's family on Friday morning from 9:00 till 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
