WATERBURY - Anne M. Cady, age 94, of Waterbury, died peacefully on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at VITAS Innovative Hospice Care Unit of St. Mary's Hospital. She was the widow of Arthur B. Cady.
Anne was born in Hamden CT on August 6, 1918, the daughter of the late Joseph and Ella (Wolosz) Wallace. She graduated from Hamden High School and prior to her retirement worked at Ball and Socket in Cheshire for many years. Anne was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and loved spending time camping with her family at Hammonasset Beach State Park in addition to spending winters in Florida.
She is survived by her two daughters, Lee Cattanio and her husband Jim of Waterbury and Jill Chernik and husband Michael of Cheshire; her brother, Joe Wallace of Dover, Massachusetts, 6 grandchildren, a great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. Anne was pre-deceased by her three sons, Charles, Craig and Arthur Cady and her daughter, Susan Screen.
Relatives and friends may visit with Anne's family on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 from 5:00-7:00pm at Eastside Memorial, "A CASEY FAMILY FUNERAL HOME AND TRIBUTE CENTER". 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd, Waterbury. Funeral services and burial will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
