WATERTOWN - Anthony Vincent (Tony, DeDe) DiPrimio, 86, of Watertown, died peacefully on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at St. Mary's Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. He was wed 63 years to his beautiful bride, Bobbie (Blalock) DiPrimio.

Born August 10, 1930 in Waterbury, CT, son of the late Michael Angelo and Josephine (LaPorta) DiPrimio, Tony graduated from Oakville / Watertown schools and attended Post College. He played professional baseball, was an automobile salesman, a retired Merchant Marine (27 years overseas) and a real estate agent. Tony was a great sports enthusiast and a member of the Water-Oak Gold Circle of Sports. He loved his family and would do anything for them and his many friends, both near and far away. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Loreto Church in Waterbury.

In addition to his wife, Anthony leaves a son Michael Anthony DiPrimio of Watertown, daughters Rose (Mark) Soboleski of Oakville, Rita (Robert) Milos of Holyoke, MA and Katherine Camara of Oakville; his grandchildren Jennifer (Robert) Bostrom of Wallingford, Derek (Mika) Milos of Hong Kong, Madison (Lionel) Houle III of Gainesville, VA, Mohamed Camara and Grant Soboleski of Oakville; great grandchildren Harper Bostrom and Lionel Houle IV; niece JoAnn (George) Frageau of FL; nephew Joseph (Vicky) St. John of TX; grandnephew Jason (Kate) St. John of Torrington; great grandnephew Christopher St. John; several cousins and his lifelong friend Anthony (Tweedy) Durante of Oakville. Tony was predeceased by his sister Jean St. John, his brother-in-law Angelo St. John and his niece Susan St. John.

The family wishes to express appreciation to the St. Mary's Hospital doctors, nurses and staff for their wonderful care and compassion, especially to family friend Amy Dumschott.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalen Church, 16 Buckingham Street in Oakville. Those planning to attend are asked to go directly to the church. Burial will be private. There are no calling hours. The O'Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main Street, Oakville has been entrusted with arrangements. In lieu of flowers, honorable donations may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, www.stjude.org .
