Loving husband, father, and grandfather
WATERBURY – It is with profound sorrow and broken hearts that the family of Anthony J. Ferrone, age 59, of Waterbury, announce his unexpected passing on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at Waterbury Hospital. He was the husband of Joy (Robinofsky) Ferrone.
Tony was born October 8th, 1964, in Holyoke MA, the son of the late Henry and Grace (Ferruci) Ferrone. He was raised in Waterbury, where he graduated from both Sacred Heart Grammar School and High School. Tony held various positions with several manufacturing companies throughout the Waterbury area most recently as a machine operator at Durco Manufacturing. Tony enjoyed bowling and was a member of Perrillo’s bowling league and was an avid sports fan. He was a devout Boston Redsox and UConn Huskies fan and closely followed and rooted for the Denver Nuggets and Denver Broncos. What brought the greatest joy to Tony was spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all those who were blessed to know and love him.
Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memory beside his wife, Joy of 16 years, are his children, John Ferrone and his wife Ashley of OK; Daniel Ferrone of FL, his step children Galen Dubey of Waterbury, Michelle Dubey-Fontanez and her husband Eliezer of FL and Carrie Ann Palermo of CT. He also leaves his brother, Joseph Ferrone of Waterbury and his grandchildren Olivia, Felicia, Noah, Greg Jr, Dominque, Chanele, and Eli as well as his fur baby, Max the cat. He was predeceased by his son, Anthony Ferrone Jr.
Funeral Services for Mr. Ferrone will be held on Monday, March 4th, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. from Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 1987 East Main St. Waterbury to the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception 74 West Main St Waterbury to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Tony’s family on Monday morning from 8:30 a.m. until leaving for the Basilica at 9:30 a.m. To honor Tony’s memory and in lieu of flowers, donations to the American Heart Foundation would be greatly appreciated by his family.
