AT THE CASEY - O'DONNELL FAMILY FUNERAL HOME - WATERBURY - Watertown Anthony A. Teardo, age 57, of Straits Turnpike, Watertown, died unexpectedly on Tuesday at Waterbury Hospital. He was the husband of April (Wirkus) Teardo.
Mr. Teardo was born June 22, 1953 in Waterbury, the son of Mary Ann (Bauza) Teardo and the late Angelo Teardo. He was educated in local schools and was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. Anthony was a plater by trade and was most recently employed at Loehman Blasius Chevrolet/Cadillac. Anthony was a car enthusiast and was devoutly dedicated to his family.
Besides his wife and mother, Anthony leaves two sons, Angelo and Billy Joe Teardo of Watertown and a daughter, Carrie Teardo of Watertown. He also leaves 4 grandchildren as well as 2 brothers, Thomas Teardo of Waterbury and John Teardo of Bristol.
Funeral Services for Mr. Teardo will be held on Friday, August 6, 2010, with a Mass of Christian Burial to be held at SS Peter & Paul Church, 67 Southmayd Rd. Waterbury at 10:30am. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The Casey-O'Donnell Family Funeral Home has been entrusted to assist the family with arrangements.
