Loved his Father and Family
WATERBURY - Anthony Thompson, age 17, of Waterbury, passed away tragically as a result of a water accident at the East Mountain Reservoir in Waterbury on Tuesday evening July 28th 2020.
Anthony was born July 17th, 2003 in Bridgeport CT, the son of Anthony Williams and Lidia Leal. Anthony was currently attending Wilby High School and was a devoted parishioner of the New Harvest Ministries. Formally a member of Faith Generation Ministries. Anthony enjoyed playing video games with his friends on his PlayStation as well as enjoyed playing basketball and the drums. He had a passion for music and music videos and will be remembered for his very respectful and kind hearted personality. There was nothing more important to Anthony than his family and he was always happiest spending time with them, especially his father Anthony. He will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love him.
Left to cherish his memories and honor his love and legacy are his parents, Anthony and Lidia, his grandparents (Legal guardians); Moncure & Margaret Williams of Waterbury, Robin Vadnias (Dad's fiancé), as well as his aunts and uncles; Gary, Gerald, Christina, and Matthew Williams with whom he was raised. He also leaves his siblings; Serisetajay Brown, Tamara and Emanuel Sockwell (aunt & uncle) whom he briefly resided with as well as aunts, uncles, cousins many other extended family members and many friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Thompson will be held on Tuesday, August 4th 2020 at 11:30 a.m. at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East Main St Waterbury. Relatives and friends may visit with Anthony's family for a walk-through visitation on Tuesday morning from 10:00 until the time of the service at 11:30. Please be advised that state guidelines for COVID 19 will be strictly enforced. Burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery Waterbury.
