AT THE O'NEILL FUNERAL HOME - Anthony D. "Tony" Zambiella Jr. age 58 of Straits Turnpike died July 26, 2011 at Meridian Manor in Waterbury surrounded by his loving family.
Tony was born December 1, 1952 in Waterbury, a son of Anthony D. Zambiella Sr. and the late Louise (Warner) Zambiella and lived in Oakville most of his life. He was a graduate of Watertown High School. Tony had worked as an assembler at the former Wheeler Electronics in Waterbury. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed trips to the casino. He was a communicant of Saint Mary Magdalen Church.
Besides his father of Oakville, he leaves two daughters Louise Tate of Irving, TX, Carly Zambiella of Coppell, TX,, two sisters Nancy L. MacDonald and her husband Doug of Oakville, Susan A. Cooke and her husband Kerry of Oakville, two grandchildren Zoe and Caydee Madison of TX., four nieces, a nephew and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his beloved step mother Shirley M. (Hayes) Zambiella, a brother Raymond Vaughan Jr., and a sister Diane Marcil.
Funeral Saturday at 11 a.m. directly at Saint Mary Magdalen Church. Friends and family are asked to meet directly at church. Burial will be private and at the convenience of his family.
