OAKVILLE – Antonio Nicholo “Tony" Lattanzio, 79, of Oakville, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 12, 2024, at Waterbury Hospital surrounded by comfort of his loving family.
Tony was born on January 27, 1944, in Waterbury, the son of the late Attilio and Josephine (Fusco) Lattanzio. He attended Watertown Schools and went on to work as a barber locally in his earlier years, then retired from New Departure Hyatt in Bristol where he worked for many years as a machinist. Tony enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle, doing leather work where he created purses, belts, and even gun holsters. He was a real handy man who could almost fix anything. He had a love for animals
especially dogs, and he would volunteer at a local rescue to assist in caring for dogs. Tony loved his two dogs; Jake and Peanut which he rescued, but what Tony loved the most was spending time with his family and friends.
Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memory are his daughter, Terri A Lattanzio and her husband, Timothy Finnemore, grandson, Anthony John “AJ” Lattanzio, his sister, Shirley (Lattanzio) Abromaitis along with several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his son, Steven M Lattanzio.
Relatives and friends may visit with Antonio’s family on Friday, January 26, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Casey-O’Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main Street Oakville, CT 06779. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of his family.
