THOMASTON- On January 23, 2021, God, for reasons not known to any of us, decided to call home his little angel, Ava Leigh Waters-Hyman just 53 days after we were blessed with her. She was the cherished daughter of Cortnie Waters and the late Johnny C. Hyman.
Ava was born on December 2, 2020, less that a month after her father passed of cancer. Ava was the world to her mother. Cortnie and her grandmother, Sarah Izzo with whom they lived in Thomaston. She also leaves her paternal grandfather, Johnnie Hyman and his wife Brendalize, paternal grandmother, Damaris Carrasquillo, her great grandmothers; Pastor Mollie Hyman and Patricia Izzo as well as several generations of aunts, uncles and cousins. Besides her father, Ava was predeceased by her grandfather , Leigh Waters Jr.
Funeral Services for Ava will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Casey's Eastside Funeral Home and Cremation Services 1987 East Main St. @Southmayd Rd Waterbury CT 06705. Burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with Ava's family for walk-through visitation only, on Thursday morning from 9:30 to 11 a.m. All requirements concerning COVID #19 will be strictly enforced. The service will be live streamed by accessing the funeral home website.
