Ms. Barbara Bournival

WOLCOTT – Barbara (Byrne) Bournival, age 74, of Wolcott, passed away peacefully on Monday, May 6, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family. 

 Barbara was born on January 28, 1950 in Waterbury, the daughter of the late Henry and Mary (Eichman) Byrne. She was a graduate of Crosby High School and went on to work at Pratt and Whitney and retired from after 40 years. Barbara enjoyed her trips to Foxwoods where she would always be playing on the slot machines, and sometimes spent the night. What  was most important to Barbara was spending time with her grandchildren and family. She will be deeply missed by all those who were blessed to love and know her. 

 Barbara leaves behind her devoted longtime partner Joseph MacDonald, her son, Richard Bournival, two grandchildren; Richie Bournival and Kayla Bournival, along with three nephews. Barbara was predeceased by her infant daughter, Mary Bournival and two sisters; Janice Dostaler and Mary Holland. 

 All services for Barbara will be held privately and at the convenience of her family. There are no calling hours.
