THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE CARING FOR THE FAMILY OF BARBARA DEANE
WATERBURY CT - Mrs. Barbara Lee (Lucier) Deane, age 74 of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly at home on Thursday, July 18, 2019.
Mrs. Deane was born on January 8, 1945 in Waterbury CT the daughter of the late Edward and Genevieve (Switra) Lucier. She was educated in local schools, graduated from Litchfield High School and worked for many years as an MRW 2 at Southbury Training School. Barbara's life revolved around her family and friends. She enjoyed dinners out with the family and cherished her many friends and those of her sons as if they were members of her own family. She was an avid fan of the Washington Redskins and loved listening to music of all kinds including Bob Dylan, Elton John and classical music. Barbra will be sadly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
Barbara leaves her devoted son, Dennis Dellaghelfa of Waterbury and her grandson, Denzel, her cousin, Tammy Caulfield of North Fort Meyers FL, her best friend, Sandra Duntz, her brother, Jack Lucier of Eugene OR and her cherished cat, "Kitty". She also leaves many special friends; Patty Melwood, Rose and Rick Traver and Andrea Folland and her son, Hunter and Dennis' special friends; Edgar Alvarado, Paul Clark, Al Savage, Juan Jimenez, Jose Santiago, Marie Aurigemma, Joe and Patty Catalani and Kenneth Dunbar.
Funeral services for Mrs. Deane will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd Waterbury. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
