THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE CARING FOR AND ASSISTING THE FAMILY OF BARBARA FEDAK
WATERBURY - Barbara Fedak age 84, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on August 3rd 2018 at Saint Mary's Hospital, surrounded by the love and comfort of her family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was the wife of Mikolaj Fedak
Barbara was born July 13th 1934 in Poland, the daughter of the late Alexander and Helena Gajowniczek. Barbara spent many years working as a teacher in Poland until she decided to retire and move to United States to be closer to her son and grandchildren. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, cooking and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren whom she adored.
Besides her husband Mikolaj of 62 years, she leaves her son, Miroslaw "Mike" Fedak and his wife, Aurelia of Prospect, her daughter, Ewa Opara and her husband, Zbigniew of Poland as well as her three sisters in Poland and her grandchildren; Marta, Lukas, and Simon.
Funeral services for Mrs. Fedak will be held on Monday, August 13th, 2018 when a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Anthony's Church (Routes 68 & 69 Prospect, CT) at 12:00 Noon. Burial with follow in The Lithuanian Cemetery, Plank Rd Waterbury. Relatives and friends may visit with Barbara's family on Monday morning at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home 1987 East Main St Waterbury from 10:00 am until leaving for church at 11:15 am.
