WATERTOWN - Barbara Von Tobel, 85, of Watertown, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 26, 2020. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
Barbara was born March 14, 1934 in Waterbury Connecticut to the late William and Ivy (Ashworth) Donston. She was educated local schools. She was a wonderful wife to her late husband, Stephen Von Tobel. She kept a warm and loving home, spending her time with her children. Family was always most important to Barbara and remained that way throughout her life. She enjoyed painting, spending the day at the beach and gardening. She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
Left to cherish her memory and honor her legacy are her three children, Gloria LaFrance, Gail McCleary and Howard Von Tobel. She also leaves 6 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mrs. Von Tobel were held privately.
