WATERTOWN Beatrice M. (Almeidia) Feeley, 82, died peacefully surrounded by the love and comfort of her family on Thursday, December 18, 2014, in the VITAS Innovative Care Unit at Saint Mary's Hospital in Waterbury. Beatrice was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick J. Feeley and her daughter, Karen Ann (Feeley) Temporale.
Beatrice was born in Waterbury on May 6, 1932 and attended Chase Grammar School and was a graduate of Waterbury Catholic High. She worked for the Waterbury Country Club of Waterbury and the Watertown Golf Club, before retiring in 1989. In 1994, Beatrice and her husband Patrick moved to Stuart, Florida, where they resided for 14 years; enjoying the beautiful weather, entertaining friends and family and making new friends. Formerly a member of Saint Martin DePorres Catholic Church of Jensen Beach, Beatrice returned to CT in 2007 and became a member of St. John the Evangelist Church in Watertown, CT,
Beatrice is survived by her daughter, Cynthia C. Scannell of Watertown, CT., with whom she lived and her three grandchildren: Christopher Scannell of Watertown, CT; Kathryn E. Scannell of Rhode Island and Victoria Temporale of Waterbury. She also leaves her niece and nephews, Katherine Mullaly of Cornonia, CA; Michael Mullaly and his wife Tommasina Mullaly of Waterbury, CT; Tammie Rose of Watertown, CT and Michael Teixeira of Waterbury.
Her family would like to express their sincere appreciation and gratitude to the amazing, attentive attention given to Bea by the Nurses at VITAS and thank you to her extended family, Susan Palladino, for also watching over her.
Funeral services for Mrs. Feeley will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 when a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Church, Watertown at 9:30 am. Those planning to attend as asked to go directly to the church. Committal services will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. Eastside Memorial, "A CASEY FAMILY FUNERAL HOME AND TRIBUTE CENTER", 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd has been entrusted to assist the family with arrangements.
