AT THE CASEY-O'DONNELL FAMILY FUNERAL HOME - Naugatuck - Mrs. Betty Martinez, age 69 of Weid Dr. Naugatuck, died unexpectedly at her home on Friday, August 5, 2011.
Mrs. Martinez was born November 18th 1941 in Philipsburg PA, the daughter of the late William and Margaret (Myers) Bartholow. She grew up in Bridgeport where she attended local schools and also worked as an assembler at Acme Shear Company before retiring. Betty had several interest and hobbies but the thing she enjoyed most was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren Barbara, Michael and David Maldonado and Chas Weid of Waterbury.
Among her survivors are her daughters: Donna Maldonado and Julie Gonzalez both of Naugatuck, her 13 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her daughter Linda M. Othman.
A memorial service for Mrs. Martinez will be held Friday, August 12, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. at the Casey-O'Donnell Family Funeral Home 1581 East Main St Waterbury. Family and friends may visit at the funeral home from 5:00p.m. until the service at 6:30pm. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
