NEW FAIRFIELD CT – Brandi L. (Mailhot) Guerra, age 37, of New Fairfield, formerly of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, October 21, 2022, at Saint Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury.
Brandi was born on July 1, 1985, in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of Kimberly (Daunis) Mailhot and the late Michael Domenic Mailhot. Brandi was a graduate of Naugatuck Valley Community College and was employed as a Respiratory Therapist at Saint Mary’s Hospital. She was an avid sports fan with her favorite teams being the Boston RedSox, New England Patriots, and Boston Celtics. Brandi also enjoyed growing various plants and spending time with her dogs; Frankie and Scrappy as well as her family and friends. Her tireless commitment to caring for those who required her special skills as a Respiratory Therapist were matched only by her dedication to her family. She was taken from us all too soon, but she will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
Left to honor her legacy and cherish her memory are her mother, Kimberly Mailhot of Waterbury, her sons Jacoby and Adrian Guerra the loves of her life, her brother, Wesley Daunis and his wife, Kerri, as well as her niece, Hailee Daunis. Brandi also leaves behind her paternal grandmother, Winifred Mailhot and maternal Grandmother, Suzanne Matthews as well as many cousins, uncles, aunts, her work family at Saint Mary’s Hospital, her boyfriend Isaac Llanos. and her very best friend in life, Marcia Alvarez Kessler of New Jersey.
A Memorial Gathering celebrating Brandi’s life will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2022, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 1987 East Main St @Southmayd Rd Waterbury. A graveside committal service will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. To honor Brandi’s memory, donations to the Foundation for Suicide Prevention at
