"Beloved Son, Brother, and Uncle"
WATERBURY - Brian Mitchell age 44 of Waterbury, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday March 20th, 2022 after a brief illness.

Brian was born June 17th 1977 in Waterbury, CT, the son of Richard and Margaret (Coughlan) Mitchell of Waterbury. Brian was a lifelong Waterbury resident and was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School. He received his undergraduate degree in finance from UConn and received his Master's degree in Medical Administration from WestConn. Brian was a partner with J & L Medical where he worked as a medical equipment advisor for several years. He was an avid UCONN basketball fan and Boston Red Sox fan and enjoyed traveling, especially his trips to Mexico, Paris, California and Florida, and he always looked forward to spending summers in Cape Cod and spending time with the family dog, Mitzi. Brian was an active member of his community and was the organizer of many toy drives for various children's hospitals throughout the state. For several years Brian was a member of the Waterbury YMCA where he met many new friends.

Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memory, besides his parents, are his brothers: Kevin Mitchell of Prospect, Richard Mitchell Jr of Waterbury, and Christopher Mitchell and his wife, Christine of Torrington. He also leaves his adoring nieces: Rebecca, Emily and Paige; his aunts Sheila Oliveras of Florida and Patricia Turmel of South Carolina; as well as other extended family members and many friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Robert and Edna Mitchell and Robert and Helen Coughlan.

Funeral services for Mr. Mitchell will be held of Tuesday, March 29th 2022 when a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, 74 West Main St, Waterbury. Those planning to attend are kindly asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow in Mt Olivet Cemetery, Watertown. Friends and relatives may visit with Brian's family on Monday evening from 4:00 till 6:00 p.m. at Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services 1987 East Main St @ Southmayd Rd Waterbury. To honor Brian's memory and in lieu of flowers, contributions made to a children's hospital of the donor's choice would be greatly appreciated by his family.
