Owner of several area “Subway” franchises
WOLCOTT- Brian D. Pearson, age 56, formerly of Wolcott and Fort Meyers, FL passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain. He was the husband of Karen (Crocetto) Pearson.
Brian was born December 30, 1966, in New Britain, CT, the son of Bruce and Karlene (Lasher) Pearson. He was raised in Wolcott and was a graduate of Wolcott High School. Brian worked for various restaurant companies and was the former owner of several Subway franchises throughout the CT area. In 2010, he moved to Fort Meyers, FL where he had been living until being displaced by the devastation of hurricane Ian in September 2022, when he moved back to the CT area. Brian enjoyed playing poker and was an avid sports fan, especially football and was a diehard Boston Red Sox fan. Brian was always happiest while spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter, Emiko, who was the light of his life.
Left to cherish his memory and honor his legacy, besides his parents and his wife of 36 years, Karen, is his son, Ryan Pearson of Seminole, FL, daughter, Jessica Lee Pearson and her fiancé, Kody Ahart, of Seminole, Fl, sister, Jeannine Theriault and her husband, Michael, of Plainville, and granddaughter, Emiko Akira Ahart, as well as several nieces, nephews, other extended family members, and friends.
A Memorial Service for Brian will be held on Monday, February 6, 2023, at 6:45 p.m. at Casey’s Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Care, 1987 East Main St. Waterbury, CT 06705. Friends and relatives may visit with Brian’s family from 4:00 pm until the service begins at 6:45 p.m. Burial will be held privately and at the convenience of his family.
