WATERBURY, CT - Bruce A. Lestage, age 64, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the Vitas Inpatient Unit of Saint Mary's Hospital surrounded by the love and comfort of his family after a brief but courageous battle with cancer.
Bruce was born March 17, 1953 in Waterbury, CT, the son of the late Roger and Lydia (Tareila) Lestage. He was a graduate of Kennedy High School and had spent many years working as a short order cook at Friendly's Restaurant. Bruce was a sports enthusiast and was passionate about the Dallas Cowboys and the New York Yankees. He was also a music enthusiast and loved to listen to rock music. What brought the greatest joy to Bruce was spending time with his family and friends.
Among his survivors are his sisters, Susan Ouellette Of Wolcott, and Carol Bonenfant of Wolcott, as well as his Aunt Dolores Fitzpatrick of Waterbury which whom he made his home. He also leaves many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Lestage will be held on Friday, January 19, 2018 at 10:30am from Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home, 1987 East Main St @Southmayd Rd. Waterbury, CT to Saint Leo the Great Church, Bentwood Dr. Waterbury when a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00am. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery Waterbury. Friends and relatives may visit with Bruce's family on Friday morning at the funeral home from 9:30 till 10:30 a.m. Donations in Bruce's memory may be made to the ASPCA, Attn: Gift Processing Center, P.O.
