WATERBURY - Bruno A. Eibensteiner age 91, of Waterbury, passed away on Sunday, May 19, 2013 at Saint Mary's Hospital after a brief illness. He was the widower of Elizabeth (Spillane) Eibensteiner.
Bruno was born February 9, 1922 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of the late Alois and Emilie (Straptz) Eibensteiner. He worked as the General Manager at Riverside Metals in Waterbury for many years before his retirement in 1995 and proudly served his country in the US Army Air Corps during WWII. He was a member of the Waterbury Elks Lodge #265 and enjoyed spending time on his boat cruising the Connecticut River with family and friends as well as relaxing at the Elks Lodge where he enjoyed playing in card leagues and spending time with his many friends.
Among his survivors are his children, Thomas Eibensteiner of Denver, CO; Kevin Eibensteiner of Cincinnati, OH; and Susan Durand of Washington, DC, his three grandchildren, Kevin Eibensteiner of Boston, Steven Durand of West Hartford, and Robert Durand of Branford and his four great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
