THE CASEY FAMILY IS HONORED TO BE ASSISTING AND CARING FOR THE FAMILY BRUNO SCHWALLER
LITCHFIELD - Bruno Schwaller, age 84, of Litchfield passed away peacefully on Friday evening, May 29th 2020, at the Vitas Innovative Care Unit at St. Mary's Hospital due to complications related to the COVID-19 virus after a 20-year battle with Parkinson's.
Bruno was born to the late Theodor Schwaller and Bertha Galli Schwaller on April 15, 1936 in the town of Luterbach, Switzerland. Bruno came to the United States when he was 25 years old to work in Waterbury, CT and soon thereafter founded his own manufacturing business, Space Swiss Inc, in Southbury, CT which he owned and operated for 39 years. When he was not working, he was an avid gardener and loved to travel, especially with his wife, Waltraut.
Bruno was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He will be remembered for the tremendous love he had for his family and his constant pursuit of perfection in all of his endeavors. His memory will live on to be cherished by his wife of 45 years, Waltraut; Michael and Bing Schwaller with Aiden and Kaitlyn, and Paolo and Christine Schwaller Luccini with Laura, Marco and Giulia.
Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, a private gathering to celebrate his life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, to honor Bruno's memory, donations may be made to the The Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research to help advance research and find a cure for the disease he endured for so long.
The O'Neill Funeral Home has been honored to care for the Schwaller family. Memories endure only if you share them. You are encouraged to leave a condolence, words of comfort or a personal memory with the Schwaller family on Bruno's tribute page at:
