WATERBURY- Carl E. Torres, age 45, of Waterbury passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at Hartford Hospital surrounded by the love and comfort of his family after a brief illness. He was the husband of Jennifer (Strileckis) Torres.
Carl was born on May 14, 1975 in Waterbury, CT, the son of Juan Torres of Waterbury and the late Betty (Finkle) Torres. Carl attended Crosby High School and was employed as a truck driver for Bozzuto's Inc of Cheshire for the last several years. Prior to that he worked as a licensed exterminator. Carl enjoyed bowling and was on leagues at both Lakewood and Thomaston Lanes. Carl was also an avid fisherman who would enjoy fishing almost daily and always cherished the days he was able to fish alongside his father. Carl recently began learning the art of forging knives which he enjoyed, he also like cooking. What brought the greatest joy to Carl was his children and family. He was always happiest while spending time as much time as possible together with them.
Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memory, besides his wife, Jennifer, of 18 years are his father, Juan his two children; Carl E. Torres Jr., and Jennalyn Torres. In addition he also leaves behind his two siblings; John Torres and Marina Pixley both of Winsted as well as other extended family and many friends.
Funeral Services for Mr. Torres will be held on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at Casey's Eastside Memorial 1987 East Main St. at 7:00 p.m. Relatives and friends may visit with Carl's family on Tuesday evening from 5:00 p.m. till the service at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be held privately and at the convenience of his family. Despite reductions if COVID #19 precautions, we are all still very concerned about everyone's health and safety so masks and social distancing will be required so that you can be assured of a safe, orderly and comforting environment to express your support to the Torres family.
