Loving Wife, Mother and Grandmother

WATERTOWN - It is with profound sadness that the family of Carla (Vezzani) Edelman, age 77, of Watertown, share the news of her passing on Sunday February 2, 2025 in the comfort of her home. She was the beloved wife of George Edelman.

Carla was born in Waterbury, Connecticut, on March 2, 1947, the daughter of the late Anthony and Adriana Vezzani. Carla graduated from Thomaston High School and received her BA degree from Quinnipiac University and was a devoted teacher and counselor to various private schools in Connecticut, where she touched the lives of many with her compassion and strong work ethic by helping others. She also was a tutor to students in Watertown and she made it her personal mission to keep in touch with many of her previous students as often as she could. She loved listening to music, particularly the songs of Elvis Presley. She loved animals, especially her many beloved dogs. Carla’s generosity knew no bounds. She loved nothing more than spending time with her loving family, especially her husband, son and granddaughter. She will be sadly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.

Besides her loving husband of 51 years, George, those left to cherish and honor her memory are her son Michael Edelman of Newtown, her granddaughter Avery Edelman, her sisters Adriann Morse and her husband, Robert of Portland, CT and Delphine Blewitt and her husband, Robert of Southington. She also leaves many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
