WATERBURY – Carlos Martins, age 73 of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Sunday,
January 28th, 2024, at the Abbott Terrace Health Care Center after an extended illness.
Carlos was born October 1 st , 1950, in Portugal, the son of the late Francisco and Ilda (Ferreira)
Martins. He moved to the Waterbury area in 1974. Carlos was a longtime member of the
Portuguese sports club in Waterbury and a parishioner of our Lady of Fatima church.
Left to honor his legacy and cherish his memory are his brother Nelson Martins of Waterbury
as well as several nieces and nephews, in addition to other extended family members and
many friends.
Funeral services for Mr. Martins will be held on Monday, February 5th, 2024, at 11:00 a.m.,
when a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima Church 2071 Baldwin
St Waterbury. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery, Waterbury. Those planning to attend
