"The lunch lady of Holy Cross High School"

WALLINGFORD - Carol (Kearney) Blanchet, age 74, formerly of Southington and Waterbury, passed away peacefully at the Quinnipiac Valley Center after an extended illness. She was the widow of Marcel Blanchet

Carol was born on June 13, 1946 in Waterbury the daughter of Gertrude Larson of New Britain and the late John J. Kearney. She was educated in local schools and was a devoted homemaker and Mom for most of her life. She was renown as the "Lunch Lady at Holy Cross" where she worked in the cafeteria for many years and was a fixture that the students and teachers alike looked forward to seeing and greeting every single day. Carol loved to dance. If it was 1950's or 60's music you had just better get out of her way. She was a diehard Elvis fan and a devoted lover of all animals. Above all else, Carol was devoted to her family and lived each and every day to the fullest. She will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.

Left to cherish her memories and honor her love and legacy are her children; sons, David Fabiano and his wife Lori of Waterbury and Joseph Fabiano and his wife Amonda-Hannah of Southington and her daughters; Jodie Fabiano and her significant other Mike Geraldi of Rocky Hill and Michele Papa and her husband Nick of Westbrook, her daughter Mikako and husband Steve Tirone of Haddam, her step son, Eugene Blanchet and his wife Karen of Woodbury, a sister, Doreen Kearney of Waterbury and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Michael Fabiano.
