Cared for others as a Registered Nurse and her own as "Mom"
WATERBURY -Carol A Harris, age 66 of Waterbury and Port St Lucie Fl, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 30,2021 at Waterbury Hospital. She was the devoted wife of William R. Harris.
Carol was born November 2nd 1955 in Waterbury, CT, the daughter of the late Pio and Ida (Salewski) Tentoni. Carol was a graduate of Crosby High School and Saint Mary's School of Nursing. She had a long and distinguished nursing career working at Saint Mary's Hospital, Waterbury Hospital as well as other various nursing facilities in the greater Waterbury area. Carol also worked at Access Rehab Centers and was the Director of the Before School Program at Blessed Sacrament. She was a longtime member of Saint John Lutheran Church in Waterbury where she taught Sunday school. Carol was an incredibly talented baker and wedding cake decorator, which she did for many years. Carol was always supporting and assisting her husband Bill's volunteer activities such as Bunker Hills Girls Softball and Easter Seals to mention but a few. She enjoyed spending time at her home in Port St Lucie, Fl but was always happiest while visiting and spending time with her daughters, son-in-law and grandchildren. Carol will be greatly missed by all who were blessed to know and love her.
Left to honor Carol's legacy and cherish her memory, besides her husband Bill of 42 years, are her two daughters: Trisha Masi and her husband, Carmine of Avon, and Heather Harris of Windsor. She also leaves her brothers: William Tentoni and his partner, Paula Coyne of TN; John Tentoni and his wife, Peggy of Prospect; and James Tentoni and his wife, Vivian of Plantsville as well as many nieces and nephews. Carol and Bill were blessed with two grandchildren: Nicholas and Madeline Masi.
Funeral Services for Mrs. Harris will be held on Thursday, January 6th at 10:00 a.m. at Saint John's Lutheran Church 503 Chase Parkway Waterbury, CT 06708. Burial will follow in New Calvary Cemetery Waterbury. There are no calling hours. Casey's Eastside Memorial Funeral Home and Cremation Services have been honored to assist and care for the Harris family during this difficult time.
