AT THE O'NEILL FUNERAL HOME: Carol Ann (Smith) Wrisley age 79, of Shelter Hill Ave. Oakville, died Sunday at Waterbury Hospital. She was the widow of Clayton Wrisley.
Carol was born December 25, 1928 in Waterbury, a daughter of the late Oscar and Gladys (Jones) Smith and lived in Oakville most of her life. She was educated in Waterbury Schools. Carol enjoyed bingo and her many bingo friends. She loved to shop and spend time with her family. Carol was a member of the V.F.W. Post 195 in Watertown.
She leaves her children; Barbara Simons and her husband Joe of Oakville, Diana Black and her husband James of Punta Gorda, FL., Linda Gwizd and her husband Edward of Oakville, Sharon Cole and her husband Gary of Oakville, Allen Wrisley of Oakville with whom she made her home, Lorraine Tarver and her husband Mike of Mead, CO., Cheryl Mamudi and her husband Milazim of Oakville, Lorie Bidmead and her husband Tom of Oakville, her sisters Colleen Stevens and her husband Harold of Oakville, Cleo Torsiello and her husband Tony of KY., Carla Chisek and her husband George of Wolcott, her brother Ernest Smith and his wife Sandra of Woodbury, twenty grandchildren twenty great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Clinton Smith, a sister Charolette Danaher and a great grandson Scottie Gwizd.
Funeral Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the O'Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main Street Oakville. Burial will follow in Evergreen cemetery in Watertown. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Little Hearts Inc., P.O.
