AT THE O'NEILL FUNERAL HOME - Catherine Arlene (Benedict) Curulla age 79 of Grassy Hill Road died Tuesday evening at Paradigm of Waterbury after a lengthy illness. She was the widow of Thomas Curulla.
Arlene was born October 2, 1931 in Waterbury a daughter of the late Aldin and Catherine (Zahasky) Benedict and lived in Waterbury most of her life. Prior to her retirement, Arlene worked as a nurse's aid in various local facilities. She enjoyed horses and sewing and dedicated her life to her family and friends.
She leaves two sons, Theodore "Butchy" Hoffman of Woodbury, Donald Maclina of Waterbury, a daughter Nancy Hirleman of Bethlehem, two grandchildren Amy Atherton, Richard Maclina and two great grandsons Richard Maclina and Michael Maclina.
Funeral services and burial are private and at the convenience of her family. There are no calling hours. The O'Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main Street, Oakville, has been entrusted with arrangements.
