AT THE O'NEILL FUNERAL HOME - Celia Y. "Midge" (Cote) McGee, age 86, formerly of Judd Farm Rd..Watertown, died peacefully Thursday evening at the Jewish Nursing Home, Longmeadow MA with her family by her side. She was the widow of Samuel J. McGee Jr. who passed away in 2002 after 57 years of companionship and love.

Midge was born on August 19, 1922, in Limestone Maine, the daughter of the late Richard J. and Laura (Theriault) Cote. She was educated in Limestone and settled in the greater Watertown/Oakville area in 1943. Midge worked briefly as a Salesperson and Jones & Morgan but spent most of her time running her household, raising her family and supporting her husband in his business McGee Welding. The McGee's moved to Enfield in 1999 and to Longmeadow MA in 2003 to be near her daughter and family. Midge was a dedicated mother and committed to her family. She was a parishioner of St. John the Evangelist Church in Watertown.

Mrs. McGee is survived by her daughter, Debra Birtwell and her husband Greg of Longmeadow MA, her son, Samuel McGee III and his wife Barbara of Brewster MA, a sister, Laurie St. Pierre of Limestone Maine as well as 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. McGee will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2009 with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at St. John the Evangelist Church 574 Main St. Watertown at 10:00am. Burial will follow in Mt Olivet Cemetery, Watertown. There are no calling hours. The O'Neill Funeral Home, 742 Main St Oakville, has been entrusted to assist the family with arrangements.
